The Walther Rathenau, Institute Foundation for International Politics, is a non-partisan, non-profit foundation based in Berlin. The Institute is named after Walther Rathenau, the German-Jewish Foreign Minister of the Weimar Republic.
Every year, the Walther Rathenau Institute awards the Walther-Rathenau-Award in recognition of an outstanding lifetime achievement in foreign policy. The award, in the form of a gold medal with a portrait of Rathenau, is awarded at a ceremony in Berlin.
